Bug Busting with Banana Boy#1

Filed under: First Post, Tech — bananaboy @ 5:11 pm

Bugs are the number one reason most people smashes their computers (haven’t you ever asked your self why monkeys just throw their laptops down the trees?!). Today we presents our first Bug Busting methods:

Bug symptoms:

The bug we have found is with Adobe CS3 installation. Not in all computers, but in many when you try to run the setup it instantly shows you the message error “Setup has encountered an error and needs to close. Error Code: 2739″ and you basically can not do any thing after that.

Solution:

You have to re-register Java Script, so let me show you how:

1. Go to Start and click on “Run” and type “cmd” (Windows XP)

OR go to Windows button and just type “cmd” and you have to right click on it and run as administrator (Windows Vista).

2. Navigate to Windows\System32 (windows X32 bit) OR to Windows\SysWow64 (windows X64 bit).

3. just type exactly this “regsvr32 jscript.dll” and hit Enter.

4. You should instantly see a new window that states “DllRegisterServer in jscript.dll succeeded”.

You are done!

Monkey confirmation!

Monkey way to supercharge your browser in five simple steps!

Filed under: Tech — bananaboy @ 3:49 pm

After we have received our first review from Brook Durant’s blog, I would say that we have actually noticed this after a major site theme customization and as we all here to learn and benefit from each other, I thank you on behalf of my friend King Kong and would want to say that we are trying our best to improve the quality and speed. For the mean time we would like to share a way to boost your browsers just to show you how much we love you people.

Let’s get real now:

First, we will start boosting our favorite open source browser which is Firefox:

Firefox icon

1. Go to Start and click on “Run” and type “Firefox” (Windows XP)

OR go to Windows button and just type “Firefox”(Windows Vista).

2. Type exactly this “about:config” in the address bar field.

3. Type “network” in the filter bar field.

4. Scroll halfway down and you shall see this “network.http.pipelining“, and all you have to do now is set it to “True” by double clicking on it.

5. You will also see “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” just below it, and you can go right a head and change the value from 4 to any higher value (i.e. 10) by by double clicking on it.

Second, it’s time to boost Internet Explorer:

Internet Explorer icon

1. On you keyboard keep pressing Windows button and then press “R” (another way to go to Run) and type in “regedit” (Windows XP).

OR click on Windows button and just type “regedit” and run it as administrator (Windows Vista).

2. Follow this route “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings”.

3. You will find two registers which are “MaxConnectionsPerServer” and “MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server“.

4. increase the Decimal values to a higher value (i.e. 10).

5. Save and close every thing and then you can either log off or restart your PC for that to take an effect.

Congratulation you are done boosting your browsers! so now you can brows us faster.

The top technology racists

Apple Macintosh:

Apple

Reason:

I don’t know where to start, but for one is the “i” thing before everything (i.e. iPod, iPhone, iDVD, iChat, etc..). Moreover, you want me to spend bananas to view in full screen in QuickTime player!!!!! Give me a break. Well, how about”iSuck” instead of “iphone” or “SlowTime Pro” for instance.

Solution:

Please apple, look at what everybody is doing and compare yourself. It is not always about the outside look, it’s all about the core, performance, and durability. Try to be a little (not too much!) creative when it comes to naming HWs or SWs (ie. iMonkey, iBanana, etc).

Microsoft Inc.:

 Microsoft

Reason:

They only reason I use Internet Explorer (IE) is when I click on my “E-Mail Inbox” button on my MSN Messenger because you can’t have a completely “default browser” (other than IE) on a PC unless you have MSN Pro installed. By the way, this is a little trick Microsoft have done with MSN to somehow remind users that you actually have another browser (IE) and I’m not sure how much bananas they shipped to them to do such a racist act on humanity.

Solution:

Shall we start by improving the speed, decreasing the amount of memory usage of IE, or should we just remove IE and stick with Firefox. I really don’t know, what do you think?
