Bug Busting with Banana Boy#2
As the wide use of vista today became more and more popular, thousands of software and hardware out there facing wide variety of problems and bugs dealing with it which is considered programmers nightmare. I happen to be studying in the field of programing, so we are being taught programming in many different types of languages, levels, and compilers. Today’s bug deals with this software called BlueJ which is an environment developed by the University Kent as learning tool for object-orientation students.

Bug symptoms:
while having windows visa and Java Runtime Environment (JRV 5.0), BlueJ appear to not function normally when it come to project menu navigation where users would usually create or open projects. In a sum, project menu becomes unclickable due to the look-and-feel of Java failing to cope with windows vista (unless you have JRV 6.0 or newer versions)

Solution:
You have to set the look-and-feel of BlueJ to “crossplatform”, don’t worry this is simple just follow these simple steps below:
1. Open the file “bluej.defs” by Notepad which is located in this directory “c:\BlueJ\lib\bluej.defs” .
2. Press and hold Ctrl and F and type “lookAndFeel”.
3. now just delete the “#”as highlighted in the image below and save your changes.

If you are considered why, by doing that you are erasing the sign “#” which make the code executable instead of being just a comment.
4. just to recheck run BlueJ and try to click on open a project and you shall see something like the image below:

Now you are done!
