How to Post….. NOT!!
Hello fellow monkeys! This post is to address cultural differences amongst bloggers! Recently i came across an article written up by John Cow, where he dropped the C- word, for those of you who are unfamiliar with the word i would stay that extremely vulgar and graphic word. Anyways couple of week prior to that he dropped the B-word, when he was stating “Our Blog Is Not Your B****” According to Cow he considered the latter a worse word, being from Ireland I can’t blame him, but what he can blamed for is that he wasn’t aware of his audience. This is the first thing I think people should know about it when starting a site, if they want to start a MAC blog i wouldn’t start out by complimenting PC users for example. When you have a versatile blog like him
you must consider that your audience will be versatile therefore you need to broaden your views on which words to use when and what is insensitive or not.
So lets say that you want to use vulgar language, and your not sure whether or not your audience is accepted of such language, ASK THEM! So seriously I don’t have that much sympathy for cow because he brought it on himself, and personally from one blogger to another he is a rude person in life too! So here is keeping an ear out for vulgar and offsensive languages in post, because really how often do you need to use the C-word. Here are some tips on posting correctly and effectively!
Here are ten tips that help me with my blog writing.
- Make your opinion known
- Link like crazy
- Write less
- 250 Words is enough
- Make Headlines snappy
- Write with passion
- Include Bullet point lists
- Edit your post
- Make your posts easy to scan
- Be consistent with your style
- Litter the post with keywords

That top ten list certainly makes it easy to write something but I find that longer and more informative posts such as my “why halo 3 has to be great” article I wrote some time back gets more views…infact that post now has a PR of 1!

So we’re rude in real life too now. Funny seing how we’ve never even met you. From one blogger to another, you’re probably referring to our IM chats. Don’t worry, we’ll remove you from our IM list so you don’t have to put up with our rudeness anymore.
If anything is rude, it’s blaming a blogger for deleting comments in public and then finding out via IM that you made a mistake and that the comment was in fact not deleted, but not following up your own mistake in public.
What is also rude is comment spamming where you try to get people to come to your blog. Rude is where you keep asking for favors, plugs and other things that might get you exposure time after time.
Bye now.

PS
Rude is also calling people a fool like you do at the end of each post. We quote:”John Cow is a fool so subscribe here at the full rss feed at the king kong blog dot com”.
A personalized message to everyone of you’re readers is cute. Calling thema fool isn’t.

That john cow is a fool thing is removed and wont be there anymore as for the rest, I really have no idea whats going on…so thats between you two.

Another thing, why do people refer to themselves as we anyway?
“Don’t worry, we’ll remove you from our IM list..” is there more than one John Cow using your IM service?

Monkeys vs Cow!! This sure is funny…but maybe now you’ll get your plug on his blog…but maybe in a rant post which may not be so good

That’s a good list of rules to follow for a blog post.
Can I add one more…check spelling and grammar. If you want to maintain a really professional website, something as simple as proper spelling and grammar will go a long way.
