iPhone Canada?! Legally.

Filed under: apple — kingkong @ 9:20 am

Ok seeing an iphone around campuses isn’t a great deal since unlocking iphones has become common place and my 10 year old cousin could accomplish a guided tour if need be. But twitter has been a buzz all day about Legal iPhone coming to Canada, here is what little information i could scrum up from my sources.

Ted Rogers, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Communications Inc. today issued the following statement:

We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.

A little more information like when to expect it would be nice! Once it gets here there wont be much point in getting since the new Iphone will be on its way!

Update:

“We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year,” the carrier said in a statement. “We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.”

It’s long been presumed that Rogers would serve as the wireless provider who would usher the touch-screen handset into Canada, given that it’s the only carrier in the region with a GSM networked suited for use with the device.

Sign up for free Filedroppers accounts for bloggers as well as members of Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Mixx, and del.icio.us!

FileDropper came highly recommended, but there was a cost associated. Granted, the basic plan was only $.99 per month, but it’s still a hassle to buy anything on the Internet when there are free alternatives. Then, someone sent me an offer for a Free accounts for bloggers as well as members of Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Mixx, and del.icio.us. It was a sign. I tried it tonight.

Hosting, Hosting, Hosting!

Filed under: Blogging, ReviewMe, Start Ups — kingkong @ 2:38 am

Its kind of like location, location, location, hosting is one of the first steps you take towards becoming a blogger, or even a simple website owner. At these critical first moments will determine your rate, and over loss before the website turns a profit, and even if it isn’t for money, what can one do except try to keep his hosting prices down! Me for one i use Bluefur, they have been great of the past year, but there month to month plans can get a bit steep, all good things cost money. They also are nice when you dont have a couple hundred to drop on the solid one year hosting! I wish i had came across this site when i was starting out, its called webhostingpal.com. they provide much needed ranking of popular web hosting services by value, by quality, and many other means! Top 10 Web Hosting they provide excellent comparisons and breakdown of what offered in each package. they also have an amazing beginners guide which i would recommend to all start up websites, with beginners!  Don’t believe me then take there word for it!

Web Hosting Pal is a user friendly guide to finding the right web host no matter what your budget is. Compare web hosting services under $5 per month offering PHP & MySQL, Unix, Windows and FrontPage. Look for a web hosting providers that offers Business / Ecommerce hosting with CPanel and PayPal if you are planning on selling any goods from your website. Visit webhostingpal.com for more information.

Overall the website could clean up there act, we all wish people would just judge the content of site, but that not the case, a metaphor comes to mind! Good looks gets monkey’s attention, good content keep them coming back!
